FelMGDB

This project (FelMGDB: Feline Metagenomic Genome Database) has developed a comprehensive database of feline gut microbiota, integrating reference genomes and metagenomic sequencing data. Derived from 412 cat gut metagenomic samples, totaling approximately 3,693 GB and spanning regions such as China, the United States, and the United Kingdom, the database represents over ten common feline breeds. It includes 514 species and 2,852 non-redundant, medium-to-high-quality genomes (completeness >70%, contamination <5%), with 1,443 high-quality reference genomes (completeness >90%, contamination <5%). The platform also provides metagenomic expression profiles of microbial taxa across the 412 samples, offering insights into microbial abundance in the feline gut.
