The research team led by Prof. Li Ying is located at the Guangdong Provincial Key Laboratory of Animal Molecular Design and Precision Breeding at Foshan University. We have been committed to the field of animal microbiology for a long time, focusing on cutting-edge basic research as well as the development and application of probiotics. We firmly believe that basic research should be closely integrated with the major needs of the country. Our team is particularly interested in the functions of the gut microbiota of giant pandas, the relationship between gut microbiota and animal adaptability to high altitudes, and the research and development of pets' gut microbiota and probiotics.

Prof. Li Ying is a specially appointed expert of the "Thousand Talents Plan" in Sichuan Province, a recipient of the Sichuan Province Outstanding Youth Fund, and an executive director of the Animal Microecology Branch of the Chinese Veterinary Medical Association. She has published over 60 SCI papers in authoritative international academic journals such as Nature Genetics, Current Biology, and Microbiome. Since the end of 2019, Researcher Li has established this research team at Foshan University of Science and Technology.
